Beans soup with smoked ham

Serve it hot with onion. Medium complexity , ready in 60 minutes.


• 700 gr of smoked ham or smoked knuckle
• 2 medium carrots
• 1 red bell pepper
• 1 white onion
• 1 red onion
• 1 celery
• 1 lovage ( or parsley )
• tomato paste
• thyme
• 300 gr of white beans or red beans
• bay leaves
• pepper
• spices
• broth
• paprika

Step 1:
Wash the beans and place them in cold water a night before. Place the beans to boil in 1,5-2 liters of water.

Step 2:
Separately boil the washed knuckle ( or ham ) with a fey bay leaves and some spices. Peel and finely chop the vegetables. Fry one at a time , the onion , the celery , carrots and the bell pepper then add beans after it is half boiled.

Step 3:
Add to the beans , juice from pork knuckle or ham as much as needed , and bone the knuckle and add it to soup. If you have some bacon or smoked sausages add them to the soup.

Step 4:
When they all boiled add the dissolved tomato paste in a little soup , also add the spices and the herbs.
