Chewy Coco Pops biscuits recipe

Makes 20-30. Preparation time 10 minutes. Baking time 15 minutes.

These biscuits are quick to make and have an old-fashioned chewy texture that will keep you reaching for the biscuit tin.

200 g butter, softened
200 g light brown sugar
4 tablespoons golden syrup
350 g self-raising flour
50 g Coca Pops

• Preheat the oven to 140°C . Beat the butter and sugar together, then add the golden syrup. Sift over the flour and fold it in. Add the Coco Pops and mix everything. Depending on how big you want the biscuits, either make walnut-sized balls or double that size for larger ones.

• Space the balls out on a lined baking sheet Flatten them gently and put a Smartie on top of each one.

• Bake at 140°C for 15 minutes or until golden. Allow the biscuits to cool and firm up before you pack them in an airtight container.
