Asparagus with peas

Very quick side dish but at the same time a very important source of vitamin C .


• 6 asparagus
• 250 gr of peas
• 50 gr of butter
• juice from half a lemon

Step 1:
Boil the asparagus in salted water for 6 minutes, until it becomes tender but retains their shape. If it was a little baggy when you bought it, now its color should be more intense.

Step 2:
Drain it after it cooked, but leave some water in the pan, where we put it again. Put the pan with asparagus back on the stove over low heat, add butter and peas and mix continuously. If using frozen peas, leave until it's done.

Step 3:
2 minutes before the garnish of asparagus and peas is ready, squeeze the juice of half a lemon and season it with salt and pepper by taste. Serve immediately!
