Layered polenta


• corn flour
• yellow cheese
• 3.5 oz (100g) bacon
• 2 Tbs oil

Step 1:
Prepare the polenta: put a liter of water with a pinch of salt to boil. In the middle of the pot, pour corn flour until its tip exceeds the water level by about 1 cm. Then mix very well. Cover with a lid and let it boil, stirring occasionally so lumps don't form.

Step 2:
Cut the ham/bacon into small cubes and fry them in a pan until their grease melts and the cubes turn brownish.

Step 3:
Meanwhile, grate the cheese and keep it handy.

Step 4:
When the polenta has cooked and bacon is browned, you can begin to form layers in a heat-resistant glass bowl. Pour 1/3 of the polenta in the bowl and level it. Sprinkle 1/3 of the cheese and a few scraps. Repeat this 2 more times.

Step 5:
Bake it in the preheated oven for 15 minutes, or until the cheese melts.
